Installer Job Description

Job Title and Location: Installer / On-Site work, some in-shop as needed

Classification: Non-Exempt

Reports to: The position will report to the On-site Lead and Project Managers.

Job Purpose: Your main responsibility is to assist and support the shop and warehouse.

Essential Functions:

Main Tasks

1. Assemble basic staging and scenery.
2. Assemble complicated builds or re-work assemblies on site to fit the project needs.
3. Do basic woodworking and finish carpentry.
4. Patch and paint a basic seam and make it look seamless.
5. Load and unload trucks.

Secondary Tasks

6. Manually handle, clean, wrap, and pack finished product as needed.
7. Unpack, clean and store items or dispose of items, as directed.
8. Assist with  sanding or occasional painting, as needed.
9. Perform  other related duties as directed.
10. Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and co-workers.

Other Duties:

- Responsible for punching in/out, as required.
- Responsible for meeting weekly deadline to submit online Timesheets with Job# details.

Competency & Physical Demands:

- 3 or more years of experience on-site in experiential marketing, scenic fabrication, production design, display exhibits, set design, or similar event settings.

Work Environment:

- This is a physically demanding job and SBI expects that you will be prepared to spend a regular work day mostly on your feet. Bending and lifting required.

- Regularly exposed to dust and noise.

- Mostly will work on-site. Some work possible in-Shop and in Warehouse areas

Rate: $35-$42.50based on experience and qualifications
